1⃣ Overview of “x402” and “ERC-8004”
👉 x402:
A mechanism that enables instant microtransactions on the web using crypto assets, without user registration and knowledge of backend processing.
Use cases: Pay directly for articles, AI models, or APIs with crypto, bypassing subscriptions and accounts.
👉 ERC-8004:
A blockchain standard that allows AI agents to cooperate securely and verifiably. Each agent has an ID, reputation score, and Proof of Work, enabling autonomous execution of tasks or business logic.

Before executing an action, agents stake WACH tokens. Results are cross-checked with ERC-8004 registries and oracle data. If validated, the stake and reward are returned. Otherwise, the stake is slashed. This creates a built-in trust enforcement mechanism.
Recently, WACH released Mandate Specification v1, defining standardized “rules of engagement” for agents and building the foundation for sustainable long-term agent-to-agent commerce.
