Auctions offer the best balance between fair distribution and price.

@zama has announced its $ZAMA public sale (10% of the total supply),
But, it’s different from the other sales.
They’re using a sealed-bid single-price Dutch auction on Ethereum.
Interestingly, Google also used this for its IPO.

➢Bids can get in anytime during the bidding period
➢Better distribution and allocation
➢Unbiased price discovery
I must admit that this looks pretty effective.
Won’t be surprised if other projects start to use this model.
Don’t miss out on the first one.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬:
➢Shield your stablecoins
You can bid with USDC, USDT, or DAI.
Before bidding, you “shield” your stables, converting them into an encrypted version.
-------------------------------------------------
➢ Start placing bids
You can drop as many bids as you want (up to 10 per transaction).
Each bid has the price you want and how many tokens you want.
-------------------------------------------------
➢ How the clearing price is found
When bidding ends, the system goes from the highest to the lowest price and (privately) counts all the token quantities at each level.
The lowest price where all tokens can be sold becomes the clearing price.
If you bid above the clearing price, you get your tokens and a refund of the extra you overpaid.
If you bid below, you get nothing and a full refund.
If you bid exactly at the clearing price , you get filled pro-rata and refund.
This method makes distribution fairer and improves price discovery.

After the auction, you simply claim your $ZAMA as ERC20 or as the confidential version.
It’s straightforward and you can get in easily.
