Liquity could have done the Velo>Aero thing and deployed an immutable version on the more lucrative L2s themselves, or just made an upgradable, multichain, governance version for all the L2s.
An entire new token supply to do with as you please and help grow the mainnet version too. Would have made their community very rich and drastically accelerated/boosted p(DAI flippening)
Maintain the wholesome decentralization ethos for mainnet and have an ambitious yolo version elsewhere. Eth foundation pretends you don’t exist bc ur name isn’t RAI anyway..
Instead they did the licensing thing and it seems quite bullish, but you have to wonder, was this a noble approach or a crazy one?
I have a couple ideas for a solution tho. More soon
