What just happened is about to change everything we know about betting on sports… 🤯 It’s rare that I feel a new consumer experience that is about to change everything. That happened today on @baseapp in an @xmtp_ group chat with 20 people, an agent named @BrackyHQ, and the F1 race live streaming on YouTube TV on top of the chat. The combination of smart agents + secure group chat + a global, native financial rail = a whole new world. I’ve learned that the biggest new consumer experiences happen when you take something that already happens IRL and make it dead simple to do online. Or in this case, Onchain. The ability to turn friendly banter into a real-time sports prediction market and have the agent coach the entire group, change your trades during the race, understand and even explain the odds instantly, ask friends for help, send any amount of money between anyone in the group anywhere in the world for free… and do this all inside a single group chat 💬 Changes everything. Bracky allows any person in the group to execute any trade by simply replying with a Handshake 🤝 emoji. Members of the group don’t have to understand anything under the hood. It’s truly unbelievable. I don’t typically bet on sports and today was the most fun I’ve ever had watching F1. I placed 5 trades, talked shit to some people I know, some people I don’t, won a couple, lost a few more (lol) and I never left the single group chat. The Youbtube TV was on top of the group chat the whole time. Base App truly is the everything app. Not because that’s some trendy name, but because it brings together global money, secure chat, powerful agents, and onchain identity and social graph in a way that’s never been done before. And what we end up with is an experience we all know and use every day (Group chat) and everything else is invisible behind the scenes with these new powerful agents that can transact onchain. What I’ve learned over the years is that people will join a group chat to do one thing they could never do before that they really want to do. Today was the first day I thought “I should onboard all of my high school buddies because they will love this, and they don’t even have to know this runs on crypto…” And that’s when everything changes. Thankfully, it’s finally here. I don’t think we quite understand the impact of borderless money being able to transact in a single group chat with people from all around the world. Opportunities are endless.
